A generous tide
Published January 21st, 2008 by John David MannThe other day, a radio host in Northern Mississippi asked me at the end of a twenty-minute interveiw, “So, can you sum up the point of the whole book for our listeners, in just one sentence?” We were live, and the answer had to come back immediately. So I said:
“Living with generosity creates a rising tide that raises all ships — not just yours, and not just the other guy’s, but everyone’s.”
Thank you all for responding to our launch of the good ship Go-Giver with such outstanding generosity. You’ve created quite a rising tide, and from the reports we’re hearing, it seems it’s only just begun.
P.S. Bob and I spent a day last week in a studio in New York City with our brilliant audio producer Gilles Dana of Gildan Media, who insisted that he had the authors read the audiobook, and not some hired actor:

The CD version is not coming out until September — here it is on Amazon.
However, the audio version (as an MP3) IS available now, through iTunes and through Audible.com
