This reminds me of about a year ago we took the kids and the inlaws down to Monroe Wisconsin to tour a cheese factory.

i just wanted the cheap deals on cheese but i was refreshed and amazed by what an awesome, graceful show it was watching this crew of 4 guys work. They were such a well rehearsed, choreographed crew that we saw them process what must have been 3,000 molds of cheese (probably about 6 thousand pounds) within about 5 minutes. There they were throwing, hitting, tapping and emptying these heavy, sharp stainless steel cheese-forms, stacking the blocks of set cheese curds and refilling the tables with the next round.

There wasn't an inch of wasted motion or inefficiency. It was a mundane, heavy hard, dangerous task brought to nearly an art form by a few guys who obviously worked consistently to continually improve their performance.

That level of teamwork and collaborative skill inspires me every time I see it, no matter how unlikely the source or unexpected the revelation.

When we all put our hands together, we're all capable of so much more greatness than when solo.

Thanks and take care,

I love the idea of how value, excellence, consistency, attention, empathy and appreciation helps your business grow. And to do this is simply loving what you do and giving more of it.
Also, This post is making me hungry for Thai food. I'll have to make the drive to Jupiter.
I love Padthai.

Another great article. I'll be watching for the rest. When I worked in advertising sales I noticed one thing common to all the successful cafes I worked with. They all worked extremely hard and very long hours and the officers were in the trenches with the troops.

It's funny you say that, Dondi, because my Parents want to take you, Mark and Tabor there when you visit Jupiter, FL. Oh, and they might even let me tag along. :-)

Such a great example. I love the image of swift and smooth - fluid, calm energy that makes even the most difficult handoffs seamless. That kind of performance almost looks effortless - totally synchronized by the picture of the experience they want to create. It's brilliant and I know where I want to eat when visiting Jupiter! Ernesto would be so proud. (And Pindar would smile.)
